The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBT A) Engineering and Capital
Division is requesting proposals from multi-disciplined engineering firms/teams to
provide design and engineering services for the Airport Portal Flood Protection project.
MBTA has identified the need to address flood vulnerability in the MBTA's Blue Line and
the tunnel portal west of Airport Station by designing and implementing a hinged portal
flood door.
The selected consultants will exhibit a depth of experience and expertise in the design
and construction of tunnel, rail, power, and resiliency infrastructure to support MBTA on
this project.
