Scope of Work:
Work consists of the construction of the Blue Hill Avenue Commuter Rail Station, on the Fairmount Commuter Rail Line including, but not limited to, construction of a new 768 foot high level platform, steel canopies, signage, bench/windscreens, elevated walkway structures, sidewalks, lighting systems, communications systems, landscaping, traffic signals, track throws and realignment, track surfacing and alignment, and the retirement or demolition of existing track elements. These improvements will be made while the existing Fairmount Commuter Rail Line maintains revenue passenger and occasional freight service except for weeknight and weekend service shutdowns.
