Scope of Work:
The Contractor shall install, terminate, and test a new twenty-four (24) strand single mode fiber optic cable installed in new innerduct between communication rooms or junction boxes and the unit or traction substations. Furnish and install new Cabinets, Connect power, install network equipment within new Cabinets, furnish and install Extreme and MOXA network switches and activate a SWAN network to allow network connection required for the RTU equipment upgrade to IP. The Contractor and QEI/OSI vendors shall upgrade, convert, reconfigure, coordinate, and implement the existing MBTA remote terminal unit (RTU). The RTU upgrade applies to the existing QEI CAM/DAC 6CCP6 Central Processor and OSI headend for Distributed Network Protocol (DNP) 3.0 (DNP3) for TCP/IP communication.
