Scope of Work:
Work consists of the reconstruction of the Columbia Road, Quincy Street and Massachusetts Avenue Railroad Bridges in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The work includes, but not limited to, demolition of existing structures, construction of new steel bridge spans, construction of new reinforced concrete bridge piers, removal of waste materials, support of existing utilities, grading, drainage and traffic management. The work also includes construction of new retaining walls, fencing and signal line relocations along the railroad right-of-way, and preparation of new railroad track bed subgrades. The work also consists of various repairs to the Norfolk Avenue bridge abutment walls, and the repair of expansion joints at the Adams Street bridge in Milton, as shown on the plans.
