Scope of Work:

Work at the new Wachusett Commuter Rail Station, Parking Lot and Development Road will be part of the base contract. Work will consist of a single 800 foot long high level platform, a platform canopy, sloped walkways and stairs for platform access, platform lighting, a variable message sign system, signage, benches, trash receptacles, retaining wall, station lead track, parking lot, milling, overlay, reshaping of existing drainage swale, clearing and grubbing, tree trimming, guardrail and fence installation, signing, pavement markings, and adjusting existing utility structures to grade. Work at the new Wachusett Layover facility will be bid ALTERNATE NO. 1. Work will consist of a six track train storage yard with support facilities including parking, a Layover Building, lighting, air compressor and layover power. The project will include a lead track from the Pan Am Southern main line into the facility. The Layover will be located off Theodore Drive in the Westminster Industrial Park.
