Scope of Work

The Work consists of the replacement of the existing Railroad Bridge over East Street in Dedham, Massachusetts, and the reconstruction of a section of East Street. The new bridge will be a two track, steel through girder superstructure on a new reinforced concrete substructure. The bridge will be constructed by Accelerated Bridge Construction methods within an active railroad right of way. The new bridge will have a span of fifty one feet and a width of thirty seven feet. Approximately six hundred feet of East Street will be reconstructed with two roadway lanes and sidewalks on either side. The project involves structural work, track work, roadway work, stormwater system work, utility work and other construction specialties.
